FibroScan®
A gentler exam for increased patient comfort. FibroScan® is the first and only non-invasive device for diagnosis and monitoring of hepatic fibrosis.
Transient elastography makes it possible to measure the elasticity (stiffness) of tissue painlessly using ultrasound. This technology is unique to EchoSens S.A., which holds the exclusive rights for it. The adaptation of this technology to the liver has led to the development of the FibroScan® and its dedicated probes.
The device is composed of 3 key parts : a dedicated probe, an ultrasound system coupled to an elastometry system in the FibroScan® frame, and a specific software program that makes it possible to transcribe information obtained in the exam.
