Vibration-controlled transient elastography (VCTE) is the most commonly used imaging-based fibrosis assessment method in the United States.

It has been validated in large cohorts worldwide in a spectrum of liver diseases, including hepatitis B, hepatitis C, fatty liver disease and autoimmune liver disorders, among others.

Echosens partners with the NIMBLE Biomarker Consortium

The Non-Invasive Biomarkers of Metabolic Liver Disease (NIMBLE) ambition is to revolutionize the ability to diagnose, monitor and treat metabolic liver disease by identifying non-invasive methods of diagnosing and assessing disease progression in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (MASH). The partnership is spearheaded by the Foundation for National Institutes of Health (FNIH).

Echosens provides financial, clinical and material support, including the loan of FibroScan® devices, and the use of FibroScan-based composite biomarkers such as Fast™ and FibroMeter VCTE™ which combine circulating biomarkers with liver stiffness by vibration-controlled transient elastography as well as the FibroMeter™ which involves circulating biomarkers only.
